Cook's Ferry Members Earn Recognition on Provincial and National Softball Stage
Cook's Ferry Indian Band members were well represented this summer as local athletes competed at both the provincial and national levels of fastball. Provincial Success The Cache Creek Chaos U17 boys' team returned home with the gold medal after winning the BC Provincial Championships in Terrace. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament and secured their place as the top U17 boys' fastball team in British Columbia. Among those celebrating the championship were Cook'

Off-Road Vehicle Prohibition in Effect
Cooks Ferry Indian Band members are advised that, effective immediately (Aug. 10, 2026), the use of off-road vehicles (ORVs) for recreational purposes is prohibited on Crown land throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre.

Public Safety Notice – Shetland Creek Fire Scar
Environment Canada is forecasting thunderstorms and significant rainfall in the Shetland Creek fire area over the next 48 hours. Due to unstable soils within the Shetland Creek wildfire burn scar, there is an elevated risk of debris flows, landslides, and other slope failures during and following heavy rain events.
Cooks Ferry strongly advises all members and land users to avoid the Shetland Creek fire scar area for the next 48 hours and remain alert to changing conditions.
