Fishery Notice
Attention Cook’s Ferry Members: This notice is to temporarily pause the retention of all non-target species to support conservation efforts. Chinook fishing remains open at this time. Fish caught under this licence are for Food, Social and Ceremonial purposes only and may not be sold. Designated fishers must carry their designation card while fishing and transporting fish. Food, Social and Ceremonial (FSC) Chinook fishing is open from: July 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to July 5

Public Safety Notice – Shetland Creek Fire Scar
Environment Canada is forecasting thunderstorms and significant rainfall in the Shetland Creek fire area over the next 48 hours. Due to unstable soils within the Shetland Creek wildfire burn scar, there is an elevated risk of debris flows, landslides, and other slope failures during and following heavy rain events.
Cooks Ferry strongly advises all members and land users to avoid the Shetland Creek fire scar area for the next 48 hours and remain alert to changing conditions.
